How is an allergy diagnosed by the specialist?

The diagnosis is done by means of skin tests, also called the "prick test", which consists of placing a drop of the allergen on the skin, then pricking the skin with a lancet and waiting about 15 minutes to see if any type of reaction to the allergen in question occurs. The diagnosis can also be done through blood analyses.
