What is an allergy?

An allergy is an exaggerated inflammatory response of the immunological system (the body's defense system) to contact with a certain substance that is foreign to your body; this substance is called allergen.

What is an allergen? An allergen is any natural substance (plant, tree or grass pollen, mites, fungus, epithelia of animals, food, etc.) capable of producing an allergic reaction in a person.
