Overview of the 8th edition of ITaMOLD, held in Madrid, where Allergy residents explored the latest advances in molecular immunotherapy.
During the course, participants expanded their knowledge of the diagnosis and treatment of allergic diseases, with a particular focus on molecular diagnostics and molecular immunotherapy, through lectures, clinical cases, interactive sessions and practical activities. The programme provided an ideal setting for residents from across Spain to share experiences and network with their peers.
The Scientific Committee was made up of Dr Paula López González (Hospital Universitario Infanta Leonor, Madrid), Dr Francisco Moreno Benítez (HLA La Salud, Cádiz) and Dr Teresa Valbuena Garrido (Hospital Universitario Infanta Sofía, Madrid). Speakers included Dr María Robledo Ávila Castellano, Dr Aythamy Henríquez Santana, Dr Gloria Jiménez Ferrera, Dr Manuel Rial Prado and Dr Saraí Arenas Colmenares, leading national experts in the field of allergology. The course included theoretical sessions and interactive activities, such as InmunoGames and the practical laboratory session “Solve Your Case”, as well as a visit to DIATER’s facilities, giving participants first-hand insight into the production process and quality standards behind allergen-specific immunotherapy.
